Our services at All Saints’ Clayton West are quite varied, the sung Eucharist is fairly traditional whereas the lay led services are a little more informal.

The Eucharist, which is also called the Holy Communion, Mass, the Lord's Supper or the Divine Liturgy, is a sacrament accepted by almost all Christians. The Eucharist is a re-enactment of the Last Supper, the final meal that Jesus Christ shared with his disciples before his arrest, and eventual crucifixion. At the meal Jesus ate bread and wine and instructed his disciples to do the same in memory of him.

Lay Led simply means the service is led by members of the congregation instead of the vicar or priest.

The worship is enhanced by our excellent choir which practices on Thursday evenings at 6.30pm. New members are welcome. Please contact us if you are interested.

In general the services are as follows but see the ‘Service Times’ page for full details of coming services.

1st & 3rd Sundays in the month are Sung Eucharist at 9:15am.

2nd Sundays in the the month is a joint service with St Augustine’s, Scissett. It alternates between the 2 churches so is a Eucharist at either All Saints’ at 9:15am or at St Augustine’s at 11am.

The 4th Sunday in the month starts with a short Communion service at either St Augustine’s or All Saints’ at 8am. This is followed at 9:15am by the informal Morning Worship (lay led).

When there is a 5th Sunday in the month a joint United Churches service takes place between all the churches in Clayton West and Scissett. So it can be at All Saints, St Augustine’s, the Methodist or United Reformed Church. Time depends on which Church hosts the service.

On Tuesdays a short said Communion is offered at 9:15am. Again this alternates between All Saints’ and St Augustine’s.

Normally on the last Thursday of each month the United Churches hold services at Aden Lodge and Aden House at 1:30pm and 2:15 respectively.
